Shocking See The Extreme Length This Man Went Just To Take A Selfie Near a VOLCANO

This just shows the extreme length some would go to take a selfie. Nik Halik, a mountaineer from Los Angeles, almost dived into a volcano for a shot that has now made him a sensation of some sort on the Internet. Halik posed for a photo in front of the bubbling, spewing lava at Benbow volcano in Ambrym Island, Vanuatu.

His climbing partner told the Daily Mail that the risks were very high because he was in the volcano's caldera, a special volcanic crater that was extremely hot and fuming with toxic gases.

And if taking a selfie close to an active volcano wasn’t enough, Halik and his friend also stayed overnight 200 meters down inside the volcano.
