A man in Costa Rica has dedicated 12 years of his life to creating a vast 63-foot-deep underground house containing a treasure trove of creative wall art. In a bid to escape noise pollution, Manuel Barrantes and his family reside in the subterranean haven in San Isidro de Perez Zeledon and even host tours for fascinated visitors.
While the thousands of feet of winding tunnels are fairly dark by themselves, splashes of colors and murals help to bring them to life.
