Algeria firmly condemns terrorist attacks in Nigeria



ALGIERS- Algeria has firmly condemned the series of attacks perpetrated this weekend, by the terrorist group "Boko Haram" in Nigeria, said Saturday Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Abdelaziz Benali-Cherif.

"We strongly condemn the series of cowardly attacks in several villages of Nigerian north-eastern Borno State against the faithful, women and children," Cherif Benali told APS in a statement.


"Tens of innocent victims fell under the murderous bullets of terrorists are added to the bloody group's deadly toll in past months," he regretted.

"While ensuring our solidarity to the government of Nigeria and the bereaved families of the victims, we call for a mobilization of all efforts and all energies in Nigeria and in neigh boring countries to quickly end the criminal acts of Boko Haram," said the spokesman.

"We believe that the determination of the Nigerian authorities and the rejection by the populations of terrorism will eventually overcome this scourge," he concluded.
