81 lucky secondary school pupils from different parts of the country have been chosen to grace the sixth edition of the Wole Soyinka International Cultural Exchange project holding in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, in commemoration of the 81st birthday of the Nobel laureate.
The programme, which will commence this weekend, will focus on storytelling and youth development.
According to the organisers of the week-long activities to celebrate the writer, otherwise called Kongi, storytelling will be treated as a resourceful art form that is an integral part of the socialisation process of an average African personality.
This annual essay competition will focus on the theme of the celebration, 'Justice and Freedom: Essential conditions for humanity.'
