Driver hired £210,000 [over N67m] Ferrari to go to a wedding but crashed it into a house and a taxi

Some stories would certainly leave you gasping for breath after reading.

This is the carnage left by a driver of a £210,000 [that's well over N67m] Ferrari who rented it for a wedding but crashed it into a house and ended up under a taxi last sunday. Amazingly nobody was injured.

Unsurprisingly the driver, who has not been named, has lost his £5,000 deposit after insurers took just three minutes to write off the supercar. CHECK OUT MORE PHOTOS BELOW

Luxury car hire firm Prestige Lifestyle, who owned the car, said it was destroyed with just 4,600 miles on the clock.

Co-owner Jamie Ford, 26, from Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, said: 'When I saw what had happened I was absolutely devastated.

'They have done a really good job of crashing it and writing it off. It took three minutes for the insurance assessors to write it off.

He said the driver paid a £5,000 deposit plus £850-a-day for the '64 plate motor, telling him it was to be used during a wedding.

He added: 'We can deal with scratches and little dents, but this is absolutely gutting.'

Bedfordshire Police have not made any arrests after the crash.

A spokesman said: 'We were called at approximately 7pm on Sunday to reports of a three vehicle road traffic collision in which one car collided with a wall.

'The incident happened in Selbourne Road and involved a Ferrari, a VW Passat and a Vauxhall Astra.
