Good News: Lagos State Govt to Give Free Bus Rides to Residents on Christmas Day

In Celebration of the Yuletide season, Lagos residents will be enjoying free rides on every LAGBUS boarded on December 25th courtesy the Lagos State government. 

The Lagos State government, operators of LAGBUS and its franchises, have announced that it would give free bus rides to residents tomorrow to in celebration of this year’s Christmas.

The government stated this in a press statement signed by the LAGBUS public relations officer, Mr. Yemi Adesoye, which was made available to reporters in Lagos.

The statement said the move is aimed at promoting the use of public transportation, as well as reducing congestion on Lagos roads during the festivities.

The government in the statement further explained that the free bus rides would cut across parts of the metropolis, within the operational hours of 6a.m. to 10p.m.

It said that the free bus services would ensure that fewer vehicles were on the roads during the period, appealing to motorists not to drink and drive to prevent avoidable accidents, which usually occur during celebrations.
