A local government official, Abdul Jalil, said a suicide bomber attacked a mosque of the minority Ahmadiyya Muslim sect in northern Bangladesh, injuring five worshipers.
The blast in the district of Rajshahi took place during Friday prayers.
Jalil said a suicide vest was found at the Syedpur Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Mosque, and the fatality was the assailant.
The mosque is located 200 kilometres north-west of the capital, Dhaka.
