Train Carrying 200,000 Liters Of Sulphuric Acid Crash In Australia. See Photos


A freight train carrying some 200,000 liters of sulpuric acid derailed 20 kilometers east of Julia Creek, northwest ‪Queensland‬ in ‪Australia‬, on Sunday morning, with the extent of leakage remains unclear, says local police. Three train staff members were slightly injured. The site declared an emergency and a 2-kilometer exclusion zone was imposed. The cause of the accident is under investigation. 

Sulphuric acid is a highly corrosive substance that can cause severe burns on contact with skin.
