Nah Wah Will You Call This World Record? See The Nigerian Man With World's Longest Wrapper (photos)

Adjarho David Obaro is the man with the record of world’s longest wrapper, but says he has been denied by the Guinness World Records for the reasons unknown to him.

With his 38-yard-wrapper, Mr Obaro, who hails from Delta state, told NAIJ that he was out to break former Nigerian finance minister, late Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh’s record of the longest wrapper in the world (20 yards) and began his journey in 2003.

According to Obaro, who said that he is also a chef and a social entrepreneur, said he runs marathon races with his 4kg wrapper and is determined to keep doing this for life as he believes in promoting a charitable course.

He said this in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, venue of the first-ever Nigerian Drums Festival, that the major reason he runs marathons is to support JC Romeo, a blind American who runs in spite of his visually impaired status.

Ambassador Obaro, who has also run in Bucharest, Romania, said he shall be running from Abeokuta to Lagos on Saturday, April 23 and has called for support from Nigerians all over the country.

He ran from Lagos to Abuja in 2015, a race that spanned about 22 days, and would be hoping to get as much support from the Nigerian people when he embarks on the race this weekend.
