Good News: Governor El-Rufai to Sponsor Boy Whose Eyes Were Plucked Out By Ritualists to University (See Details)

The boy whose eyes were plucked out by ritualists in Kaduna state,has found favour with the Kaduna state governor who has promised to sponsor him to University level 

Relief has come to the family of Mallam Usman Auta whose three year old son, Usman, lost his sight to suspected ritualists in Zaria as Governor Nasiru el-Rufai has pledged to sponsor the child’s education up to the university level.

According to Nigerian Tribune, he made this known when he sent an emissary to the boy’s parent in Zaria.

Delivering the governor’s largesse to the boy’s father, the governor’s aide, Bashir Ibrahim Dabo, said the governor was deeply touched with this bizarre act of cruelty by a fellow human being to an innocent child.

He described the story of the little boy as one of the tragedies of our times which cannot be easily forgotten.

The governor then made a personal donation, promising that the boy’s education up to the university will be taken care of by the Kaduna State government.

Meanwhile, Mallam Usman Auta has dispelled the insinuation making the round that the governor gave him 30,000 dollars.

Speaking in an interview, he said “what Bashir Ibrahim Dabo, Special Assistant to Governor el-Rufai, who came on behalf of the governor to the hospital gave me in addition to the N150, 000 cash, was $100 cash, which I changed to N29,500. So I am surprised to hear that we received $30,000; which is not true."

He disclosed the support he was getting from sympathisers as awesome and wish to thank Nigerians for their love and prayer.
